Fishing Trip #121 August 25, 2015 5:50 AM

Went fishing for about 30 minutes on my way to work this morning. On the very first cast of the morning I hooked an 18-inch 2.7 pound bass with a spinnerbait. Wow!

Weather conditions: 54 degrees, misty pre-dawn sky with no wind.

• Caught 1 largemouth bass with a Strike King Midnight Special Spinnerbait.
• Caught 1 largemouth bass with an H2O XPRESS Shallow Running Jointed Square-Bill Crankbait.

Fishing Trip #120 August 24, 2015 5:50 AM

Went fishing for about 30 minutes on my way to work this morning. On the second or third cast of the morning, a 19-inch 3.5 pound bass took my spinnerbait and made a run for it! I had to keep tightening the drag because this fish was determined NOT to be caught. It was a great time to be fishing.

Weather conditions: 53 degrees, clear pre-dawn sky with no wind.

• Caught 4 largemouth bass with an H2O XPRESS Shallow Running Jointed Square-Bill Crankbait.

Fishing Trip #119 August 21, 2015 5:30 AM

Went fishing for about 45 minutes on my way to work this morning. My crankbait hasn't been attracting any fish, so I've switched to a spinnerbait. I caught two bass with it!

Weather conditions: 59 degrees, clear pre-dawn sky with light winds from the south.

• Caught 2 largemouth bass with a Strike King Midnight Special Spinnerbait.

Went fishing for about 45 minutes on my way to work this morning. Not many bites this trip—could be the drop in temperature. I still managed to catch two nice bass.

Weather conditions: 58 degrees, clear pre-dawn sky with no wind.

• Caught 1 largemouth bass with a Strike King Midnight Special Spinnerbait.

• Caught 1 crappie with an H2O XPRESS Shallow Running Join

Fishing Trip #116 August 18, 2015 7:00 PM

Went fishing for about 30 minutes this evening. The sky was overcast when I arrived and a huge thunderstorm ran everyone to their vehicles by 7:30 PM. 

Weather conditions: 78 degrees with thunderstorms forming from the northwest.

• Caught 1 largemouth bass with an H2O XPRESS Shallow Running Jointed Square-Bill Crankbait. 
• Caught 1 panfish using a Wacky Rigged Plastic Worm.

Fishing Trip #115 August 13, 2015 5:45 AM

Went fishing for about 30 minutes on my way to work. I caught two bass and one bullfrog. The frog hopped back into the water before I could take a picture.

Weather conditions: 66 degrees with a very light breeze from the north.

• Caught 1 bullfrog with an H2O XPRESS Shallow Running Jointed Square-Bill Crankbait.
